So, I'm doing this thankfulness challenge thing where I post what I'm thankful for each day until Thanksgiving. I'm finding this to be a REALLY good exercise for me. Since I know I'll be posting daily I'm extra aware of the days' circumstances and I'm seeing things with more thankful eyes.Join me, won't ya?
Here's my list of thankful goodies for today:
1. I'm thankful for an amazing local thrift store. Seriously. Today $20 netted me almost-new snowpants for Chloe, 3 shirts and 2 pants for Solomon, 4 books, and 4 games/gifts. Some of the gifty things were BRAND NEW -- still in their unwrapped packaging! We have several birthdays coming up around the holidays so these cheap gifts will help during the most expensive season of the year.
2. I'm thankful for naps. For me and for children.
3. I'm thankful for clean air ducts. Our home is more than 100 years old and it hasn't always been *lovingly* cared for. Since Matt and Clive have allergy prone noses, we've been making some allergen-reducing changes this year. It's been especially sad to see little Clive coughing and struggling. We had the air ducts cleaned yesterday. The worker guy said our ducts were one of the worst he's EVER seen. I don't think he was exaggerating because our dirty disgusting ducts clogged his vacuum motor thingy TWICE. And Clive had a blissful cough-less night last night!!! Thankful for such an easy fix and that my boy can sleep peacefully again!
What are you thankful for today?

I am always thankful for basic amenities, like clean drinking water and indoor plumbing. Then I can move on to the big things like the ability to spend the weekend in St Thomas to recharge. Then come the important things, the people that love me
Ma: Thanks for commenting on my blog! Love you!
