0 Days Until Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to you all!

Counting down with thankfulness has been an incredibly helpful exercise for me.  Some days it was easy to tick off the thankfulness list.  Other days not so much.  It's made me remember afresh that my thankful attitude will wax and wane if I only look at circumstantial blessings.  A true and constant thankful heart will be grounded in eternal truths that don't change.  So I really CAN be thankful in all circumstances (1 Thess. 5:18) when I look at God and see His great great love for me.

"Thou hast given so much to me, give one thing more, - a grateful heart;

Not thankful when it pleaseth me, as if Thy blessings had spare days,

But such a heart whose pulse may be Thy praise."   - George Herbert
