Total impulse buy

Back in my single days, the words impulse and shopping occurred together in my life frequently. In fact I had little or no restraint with my income when I was Miss Alicia Mendez. (I won't divulge how many pairs of shoes I owned during that phase of life.) Now that I've been married some years, I almost never buy anything impulsively. Unless it's 50 cents and hanging in a thrift store that is. :)

Today the thought lodged in my brain that Chloe NEEDED to get her 2 year old portraits taken. I mean, c'mon, she's already 2.25 years old - time's awastin' here! Last year we did Chloe's 1 yr. old photos at wally world and I was less than impressed. So we hitched a ride with Matt to Canton where he teaches and headed to the mall. I had a JcPenney's coupon all ready to use but the mall only had a Sear's. Surely, I reasoned, they must have the same type of deals. Turns out they don't.

Now that the whole experience is said and done, I think I got swindled. And sitting at home waiting for me in my latest edition of Parents magazine is a coupon for Sears that would have save us a bundle.

Next item on my to-do list is to call and ask them to apply the coupon code. Or just to cancel my whole order and re-do the photo shoot at JcPenney's. Think I have a chance? I don't see anything anywhere that states I can't cancel my order.

Chloe wasn't the smiliest 2 year old in history but the photographer still managed to get some cute shots. Enjoy!

They are some really cute pictures!! I don't see why you wouldn't be able to cancel your order. Do you pay when you pick up or did you pay already??

Do they have 100% satisfaction guarantee? If they want to make you 100% satisfied, they will apply the coupon without giving you any grief.

If they do give you any issues. There is always emailing/calling them. I hope that you can find a solution that doesn't cost you a fortune:).

BTW - Chloe's pictures are great. I love the one with her looking at the flower. She's a little sweetheart.

Those pictures are cute. I hope that Sears will accept your coupon!

I think her pictures turned out great, and I love the brown dress -- it looks like she cooperated well. Kayla did not have a good 2 year old photo shoot. She was happy when we got there, and she was happy as soon as we left so who knows what the deal was...

I would think they would apply the coupon so that you would come back. Pictures is a pretty competitive market, and like Rachel mentioned -- 100% satisfaction guaranteed should be their motto.

Those all came out sooo cute! Let us know what happens; I hope they will apply the coupon code for you!!

We had always had pics done at Walmart, too, but this spring I got the kids' birthday pics done at Target and was much happier. They had a more professional look (and the studio people were overall more professional, too), but the prices are very reasonable with the coupons you can print off their website. More like Walmart prices but with a better quality product. I think we will be getting our family Christmas pic done there, too. Just thought I would share for what it's worth . . . don't even know if you have a nearby Target that does portraits, though! Anyway, I do hope you get to order some of those beautiful pictures of Chloe . . . she is so photogenic!

those are wonderful shots! i've been to jcpenney before and never had that much success. i know it's probably different wherever you live and who you get, but i hope they apply the code for you b/c you got some keepers. at this stage - it's so hard to get good pics!

Fantastic Pictures. Chloe must really enjoy having her picture taken.

Personally, Sears has always done the best job with us, and I've never had a problem with them honoring coupons (even in retrospect). Hope everything works out and you can enjoy your pictures.

I love the first one and the last one, but they're all adorable! We still have yet to bite that bullet and get "professional" pictures of Aaron. I'm such a cheapskate!

We're going for Elijah's pictures tomorrow (his 3-month pictures a month late - oh well!). They have a great place here that does a whole package for $9.95 (of course I'm sure I"ll like more and HAVE to buy more!) Chloe looks so adorable in these pictures! I'm hoping Elijah cooperates just as well! Whatever happened with the coupon ordeal?!

So what did you find out? Did they apply the code?

Cute pictures. I almost posted about this too because I just got Owen's pictures done at Penney's using the same coupons and I feel like I got TOTALLY scammed. I don't think I'll be going back.
