The sewing bug has bitten me again! This morning I sewed up the ends of some wide ribbons I'd bought to make cheap headbands for Chloe. I found each ribbon on sale at Jo-Ann's for 25 or 50 cents a yard. As ribbons are known for their unravelling tendencies, I sewed up the ends on a slant with a quick zig-zag stitch. I'm very pleased the outcome. Now I just need the secret to get Chloe to sit still long enough to tie these headbands on her wiggly head! I'm thinking I should put on a body-numbing movie to get her to sit still and then covertly sneak the headband on.

I know, it's annoying. You have to scroll down and then click the pause button on the slideshow. Sorry about that!

The bunny cake is so easy to make - you just cook a cake in 2 round pans. Cut them in half and with icing put the flat ends together so it looks like the sun rising. THen you frost the cake cut a triangle from the front and put it on the back as the tail. Cut two ears out of construction paper and make eyes and a nose out of jelly beans. Mike's mom taught me she also uses coconut to make rabbit fur and dyes some more for grass around the bunny. My teen girls thought a poka dot bunny was the way to go.
Titus turned 15 months old last week.
The headbands are adorable! I will take notes on that and store it away for when I have little girls someday. It looks like Chloe's hair is getting lighter. Have a good weekend!

i just saw your comment on shannon conley's post about her new mini-van! so you are a station wagon mamma? well, have i got the vehicle for you!!! we drive a '97 volvo station wagon with the rear facing 3rd seat! (the kids especially liked that!)
