When Clive woke from his morning nap, I changed his diaper and discovered this impression from his outfit on his tummy! Just a funny natural effect of tummy sleeping I suppose. Have any of you moms seen this kind of thing on your kiddos' torsos?Once I had him naked on the changing table I couldn't resist taking some photos of him in the buff. Naked babies are pure unbridled cuteness in my book! And Clive is so incredibly good natured and happy - even when he's cold and naked. He gives smiles freely and easily (he's nothing like his sister in that way).
I read somewhere that it's been scientifically proven that when we look at a baby, it triggers a pleasurable sensation in a specific part of the brain. I can't explain it but it's the truth with me! No matter how crummy I feel a smile from Clive always makes me joyful inside.

I'm with you all the way! Love the naked baby pics of Clive--what a sweetheart. If Gage could control his bladder, I'd leave him naked all day. He just loves to be naked! I have never experienced the "imprint" from clothing-just an occassional button or snap mark. Very funny it did that.

I don't know if it's scientific or not, but how can you not smile when you see a baby - especially when they're smiling at you! So cute ;o)
I agree completely that a baby's face lighting up when he/she sees you triggers a "happy button in your brain" (as Mary Ann put it). I just have to smile back even if my baby is doing something that is driving me crazy like not sleeping. Krista does this little head duck and shy smile in these cases almost like she knows that she isn't going along with the plan but also that she is cute enough to make me get over the irritation and smile at her and kiss on her if she grins at me.
