It feels like I've not blogged in months! I don't know if anyone even noticed, but I haven't been blogging as much lately since I've been wrapped up in my latest project. I just finished a cross-stitch wedding record for my friends' 10 year wedding anniversary. Whew! This project has given me a new appreciation for cross-stitchery. It turned out beautifully and I thank God for the time and energy to complete such a monstrous thing.Melinda was so touched by the gift that she started crying! Yay! It feels so wonderful to know that I surprised her that much and that she appreciates all the effort I put into this.
In other news, my vivacious grandma flies in tomorrow morning for a visit so I anticipate a lack of blogging for the next week. Chloe is so pumped about seeing her "nana".

What patience you must have to have completed a project like that!! Of course, I shouldn't be surprised w/ the patience it took for you to be my roomie ;o) It turned out beautifully - you did a wonderful job! Enjoy your visit w/ your Grandma - I know I always enjoy a break from routine!

Your gift turned out beautifully! I remember doing a cross stick lighthouse for my mother-in-law on a much smaller scale. I almost went cross-eyed:). Yours is much more involved and absolutely gorgeous. I love the last photo of Chloe. What a sweet little face she has. Her damp little curls are precious. Have fun with your family.
Sarah (aka jordache): Are you kidding?!? You were the patient roommate with me! Here I was a totally new crazy Christian dating the wrong guy and not really getting the whole nbbc idea. Do you remember when I tried to throw a polka party in our room? Mrs. Arndt put a stop to that right quick. She was probably just mad that I didn't invite her . . .
Shannon: I had to switch colors often because I was looking at purples for so long, I couldn't make vital distinctions between light blue purple and pale blue purple. :)
Rachel: Oh yes. I experience cross-stitch vision troubles too with this project. My left eye would just start twitching and I'd have to take a break for a bit.

I did a cross stitch project when I was in fourth grade for something or other, and I was so proud of it! I wonder what ever happened to that sheep with a bell around its neck... Sorry for the trip down memory lane on your blog. I just wanted to say that it was a great gift -- very special, so thoughtful, and very well done!

I noticed you haven't been blogging as much. I haven't either. I think it's just gotten a lot busier around here....GREAT JOB on the cross-stitch!! You are my newest hero! I've never attempted something like that before. I'm very impressed :)
Alicia - great job on the cross stitch! I used to complete project every year for 4-H. Now I have too much trouble sitting still long enough to work on something so detailed. I'll miss your frequent posts; I'm somewhat of a lurker (I check your blog often but hardly ever comment). But I do enjoy the pictures of Chloe & hearing about your day to day activities (so different from mine, but fun to hear about). Have fun with Grandma!
