Can you tell I suffer from distracted pregnancy brain?
Literally, the big news is that I'm BIG. My appointment this past Friday showed that I'm no longer measuring 3 weeks ahead; now I'm measuring 4 weeks ahead! The doc wants to see what's going on with this baby so I get to have two more ultrasounds in the next 4 weeks. My weight has actually gone done since my last appointment so it's not as though I'm just packing on extra prego pounds. I either have a huge boy growing inside me or he's positioned weirdly. In any event, I'm super excited about getting to have some more ultrasounds done! The bonus is that my mom, grandma, and sister are coming to visit during Thanksgiving week and they'll be able to come along for the ultrasound too!
I've stopped swimming laps now since my muscles below are feeling much pressure and easily strained. I am striving to do 20 minutes on our stationary bike 1-2 times a week but that's about all I can handle. I read while I bike (Pilgrim's Regress is what I'm poring over lately - awesome read!) and it gets distracting to keep on hitting my tummy with my knees.
Boy, I'm ready for this second pregnancy to be over and done with. I've had some sweet bonding moments with Chloe lately and I know I'll miss those precious one-on-one times with my little buddy. But I'll be glad when this physical discomfort is gone and I can get up from the floor like a normal person.
We'll keep you posted as the weeks go by!

Awwww - you guys are so cute! I was measuring big towards the end of my pregnancy, and had to have an extra ultrasound. 3 days after that ultrasound, I went into labor and Elijah was here - so I guess I was measuring big for a reason - he was ready! I'm praying the last 9 weeks go quickly for you and that you feel well! He's almost here!!! yay!
You look super! Really, you are all belly and that is where you want the weight to be - right? I am glad that they are going to do an ultrasound or two to give you a a more accurate idea of how your baby boy is measuring. The "tape measure" system is not nearly as accurate. I know that you'll like seeing him a few more times on the ultra-sound:).
I measured up to 6 weeks "too big" with my last two full-term pregnancies - never was anything to worry about except big babies, I guess, but I enjoyed the extra ultrasounds too :o) And what a special treat to bring your mom along - enjoy them!
that is a great picture
i cant wait to meet your little man.
i hope you are more comfortable in the next few weeks to come.
enjoy your ultrasounds. how fun!
our baby is big too... kinda nervious about that (i'm only 22 weeks.)
cute picture! i'll be anxious to hear the outcome of your ultrasounds- it'd be great if you were further than you thought wouldn't it!
You look wonderful! I love the family picture!! Great job on working out and keeping in shape while being pregnant. That is not always easy!!!
You're amazing, Alicia. All of that exercise!!! Nice work. I felt like I was huge the whole time, but never actually "measured" big! Of course with a 4 pounder--prob wouldn't:) He's a chubbo now though--no one would guess him to have been a preemie! Prepare yourself, girl. Little boys truly melt hearts. I am smitten with mine. Anxious to see that little man!!
