Our Chloe has recently found her feet! She concentrates with all her might and pulls them as close as she can to her mouth. She hasn't successfully gotten any toes in yet for a taste test but I'm sure that's coming soon.It's so amazing and fun to see Chloe experience things for the first time. This morning I took her out on our porch, since it was a balmy 52 degrees, and she flailed with excitement at seeing the cars rush by. I know this is just the tip of the discovery iceberg. I can't wait to see her taste ice cream for the first time, cuddle a puppy, or roll around in the grass.

Your mentioning grass reminded me of when I first set Luke down on the grass. He hated it! I laid him on his tummy, and he lifted up his arms and legs as much as he could. I guess he didn't like the feeling on his skin. It looked hilarious!
Another one of my favorite first discoveries is probably when he discovered bubbles - he loves it when I blow bubbles with a wand. He tries too, but actually gest so much soap on his mouth that when he laughs, he blows a bubble right from his mouth!
Unfortunately, his latest discovery is that of the tantrum. :( Yikes!
One of my favorite parts of parenting is watching Luke learn and develop new skills. He's starting to try really hard at forming words, and during his time with his cousins, Grace taught him how to pretend eat - that's probably one of the cutest things I've seen him do.

Every time I hear stories about your Lukie I get ansy for Chloe to grow into a toddler! Luke sounds like so much fun .. . except for the tantrum bit of course. I think I will have a hard time keeping a straight face if, or shall I say when, Chloe throws a fit. Little kids look so silly when they fuss and cry.
Keep me posted on Luke's word development! And I'll try to get those spam recipes to you sometime in the next year. :)

Yeah, the first few little tantrums made me stifle a laugh. And I know not all of my responses to his misbehavior have been consistent, but I keep trying! I'm so thankful that I have God's Word to guide me as I teach Luke about the life God wants us to live! It's so sad to see parents so desperate and manipulated by their children, as evident on shows like Nanny 911 - which I can't even stand to watch!
